Brian is a Partner at Big Sky Partners, where he sources, diligences, and supports founders across AI, deep tech, media, and action sports. He works shoulder-to-shoulder with portfolio companies on scaling, strategy, hiring, fundraising, and the messy in-between.
He started in Los Angeles as a writer and DGA director on scripted movies and television for Fox, Disney, Comedy Central, and Sony. His documentary films have premiered at SXSW, won Streamy Awards, and been acquired by Verizon/Complex, Netflix, and Showtime. He more recently executive produced Trilogy: New Wave, a surf film featuring Griffin Colapinto, Seth Moniz, and Ethan Ewing.
In 2017, after a run with top YouTube creators at Studio71, Brian co-founded a social storytelling platform for writers and video creators that reached millions of monthly users and 130M+ in-app transactions before the company was acquired.
For Meriwether Companies, Brian supports brand, communications, and buyer relationships across the communities Big Sky invests in — Coral Mountain Desert Club, Cabo Real Surf Club, and NIHI Rote — working closely with the developers and operators on the ground. He is an Advisor to the Riekes Center for Human Enhancement in Menlo Park and completed the Venture Capital program at The Wharton School.
A San Francisco native, Brian lives in Los Angeles.
